Welcome to ArtyBird
ArtyBird is a Leicester based independent art college and training provider established in 2006. We are a City & Guilds approved centre and offer a range of online and attended art, design and craft qualifications.
We also offer tailor-made training programmes.
Qualifications are available through our main site and associated centres. You can participate entirely online, attend programmes in a variety of locations or enrol on hybrid qualifications (these are delivered as a combination of online and attended sessions). ArtyBird is our main site and the home of the pioneering 7823 Artist in Residence qualification developed by Deborah Bird of ArtyBird. This course is designed to support artists through the planning, proposal, realisation and documentation of Artist in Residence activities. Many of the projects and images in the Portfolio and Live Project Gallery sections of the website feature the work of artists involved in the programme. Tutors Deborah Bird and Rikke Digerud-Waring are based at this site.
ArtyBird Carnforth is our School for Art and Textiles based in Lancashire and a centre of excellence for art and textiles related courses including creative computing, feltmaking, embroidery, fashion and mixed media. Tutors Kate Horner and Rosie Jackson are based at this site.

ArtyBird Draw and Paint Online is our School of Drawing and Painting in Hebden Bridge and offers Drawing and Painting programmes devised and delivered by internationally acclaimed artist and author Peter Stanyer from his studio in the Pennines.
