As a welded metal sculptor the AA2A scheme has enabled Jolanta Jagiello as an artist to complete 4 metal sculptures all part of the Amputee Advantage Series made in response to The Sun's Campaign for 'Help for Heroes' - a new organisation formed to help those who have been wounded in Britain's current conflicts, www.helpforheroes.org.uk.

The campaign's slogan is: 'What will you do for our wounded heroes?', with a variety of responses such as: 'She swam for them', 'He dived for them', 'She cycled for them'.
Jagiello's response is that: 'She sculpted for them'.

Each sculpture celebrates the success of amputees in a range of competitive sports, and one entertainer. All the metal sculptures are made from fire extinguisher refill bottles (made safe), and re-cycled materials such as: tables, exercise bike, ironing boards, and crutches.
